This book is ideal for those of us who struggle with conceptualising ideas ourself and need a back up plan - a way of creating beautiful embroidery with a little inspiration and a pathway to follow.
The book features 75 of Trish Burr’s own designs, so she has done the drawing and outline for us - yet the job is not over, her designs are most obviously neat and studied - so we need to develop the skills and practise our stitching skills.
You will find inside this book, which is a paperback of not too many pages, all the black and white transfers at the correct side to use. There are also the colour illustrations of what the pieces are designed to look like once they are finished.
I would like to point out at this stage, that this is not, I repeat not an embroidery guide. This book only contains the designs and transfers as illustrations. For key embroidery skills, you could look to another of Trish Burr’s books, such as this one which I have previously highlighted.
