Sketchbooks at the ready for this one..........
Fun day workshop, playing with the pieces you have in your draws that need some new life! Check out the Customs House website and box office to book your place.......
Within this workshop, participants are encouraged to bring clothing or other personal textile items that they would like to reuse along with them. We will begin by discussing if the items have any personal meaning and if learners have any idea what they would like to do with them. Then the fun begins...cut up? Sew into something else? Or maybe you would like to embellish or draw onto the item you have brought along? A fun day making "something new from something old". Basic sewing equipment, buttons, beads and fabric markers will be provided, along with the use of one sewing machine on the day.
I will be giving one of my talks to the Newcastle Branch of the Embroiders Guild on the date above.
I look forward to seeing you all there.
