HeartFelt Crafts To Make and Give

18 Pretty and Practical Felt Projects for Home Decor and More

Laura Nightingale

What’s it about?

This is crafting done well. Using pre-made felt, there are eighteen projects to follow step by step to make everything from decorations to mug holders. Honestly, you won’t miss any of the projects, they are not needed items - however they will make life nicer - or maybe a friends when you reach out and gift them one you have made, or you share the process together.

Who is Laura Nightingale?

The book is written in a very down to earth casual manner. It is very at your level, whatever that is. It is not pretentious or too much - it is real. This woman has her own business (www.yellowbirdhouse.com) which is a seamless joint to the book - the book has come from the website and it’s content, which is all about the felt. She also gives advice on social media, crafting as a business etc. Brought up like many of us, by a mother who also loved to make, the passing on was natural.

Best bits

Each project is finished nicely with extra stitches. For example, the Monogram Glitter Keyring has been finished with little embroidered flowers. So it is more than a quick project and go - this is about care.

Some projects are more unusual, for example the felt potted plant on page 141.

What about a cupcake decoration?

See, all the things that you did not know you needed, but maybe they will make you smile or feel cared for if you are the recipient.
