Imperfect Embracing Improv Quilting

What is improv? Many of us like to have a plan to work from when embracing textile methods - we are all aware of many books and tutorials which lead us through a step-by-step journey. This is often applied to the subject of Quilting. This book turns that walk the line on its head. Imagine having a bit of fun, improvising, creating a piece which isn’t perfect? This book showcases how to add a little of an edge to your quilting practice.

We are led though the usual tool requirements, the basic methods blah, blah, blah.

Then there are two parts, along with final thoughts and bonus bits and bobs.

No, you will not be instructed to completely lose your way - the methods are yes, methods in themselves. It is quilting without a pattern yes, but it is still a skill to learn…..is this sounding like some sort of code breaker? If it is then you need to read the book and understand!

I love the photography of the book, the connective life shoots with the quilts incorporated work well - i.e. in nature, on walls…on picnics and urban spaces.

So, if quilting is your thing, then do purchase a copy.
